If you are too busy to pray don’t worry you have organizations today with paid employees to pray for you.  They are just a call away. These online prayer organizations work 24/7. Are we not deviating from the principles of prayer our Lord has taught us to follow? Prayer has become a business for the prosperity preachers. Jesus is teaching us the principle in prayer and our attitude in prayer in Mathew 6:5-8. 1) Hypocritical prayer is not acceptable before God. 2) A believer’s strength is based on inner room communion alone with the Lord. 3) A genuine prayer is rewarded. 4) Do not pray like gentiles pray. 5) Our Father knows what I need before I ask Him.

Jehovah-Jireh

Wish you a Happy New Year. These are the greetings we have exchanged to people we know and do not know. Those words ring a fact that even though the days of the new year are unknown, but our desire that all the days be happy.

God says in Joshua 3:4, “ You have not passed this way before”. Each day is new and what it holds is unknown. We tread each day as unknown to us. But each day God’s presence is there. He has repeatedly said, “ I am with you” (Mathew 28:20). His presence is with us. He also provides for us. He is ‘Jehovah Jireh’ the Lord who provides (Genesis 22:14). His name assures us that He is the one who is worth trusting, whose promises never fails and who knows the future.

We have not passed this way before. Each day would have both sorrows and joys, both failures and successes. We cannot predict the future. We cannot see the next step. Yet Jehovah-Jireh calls us to trust Him calmly. He is ever present and sufficient to provide for us.
